About

Welcome to Cutting Horse Link

Cutting Horse Link is the place to get all your cutting horse news, views and opinions.  It is the only place where cutting horse riders, trainers, horse owners and gooseneck gossipers can come together to share their news and experiences about horses and cutting.

Real cutting horse stories, written be real people in real time.

Who is behind Cutting Horse Link?

My name is Ainslie Hunter and I am the editor of Horse Cutting Links.  I have been a fan of horse cutting for the past 7 years.  You won’t find me in the arena.  But you will find in the stands cheering on my dad (and sometimes my husband)  One day I hope my daughter will be in that arena riding against her pop.

You may wonder I wanted to start this site.  Here are my reasons:

  • It is a way to develop my skills in blogging and online media.  If you want to find out what else I do online you can check out my official bio here.
  • I want to promote the horse cutting sport in a similar fashion to other sports such as football and equestrian.
  • I want to showcase great horse cutting talent
  • I want to develop a community and get you guys talking about what is important in the horse cutting industry.

Why Cutting Horse Link?

Cutting Horse Link has three aims:

  1. To create a central online environment for everyone and every business involved in cutting
  2. To give cutting clubs, horses, riders, trainers and business owners the exposure they deserve
  3. To provide an online home to read about your cutting horse stories.

Get involved.

Cutting Horse Link is a community powered site.  That means that we want YOU to help create the content.  We want your cutting stories.  And we will deliver them to the world.  There are a few ways you can get involved:

1.  Make a comment at the end of a post

It is really simple to make a comment.  At the end of the post you will find an online form.  Just put in your name, email address and website address if you have one.  Your name will be listed as well as your website.  But your email address won’t be advertised.  Blog commenting is one of the easiest ways to promote your own website, as people can click on the link and go straight to it.

Please note that comments are not live.  This means that they are moderated before being put up on the site (within 12 hours).

2.  Write your own post

We love hearing other peoples stories here at Cutting Horse Link.  Follow the links below for more details about the types of stories we are interested in.

3.  Let us promote your club or show.

You will notice at the top of the page we have a listing of all upcoming shows.  This is our way to promote the local cutting horse events.  If you think I need to add more information then please let me know via the contact page.  However, one of the best ways for you to promote your show is through a blog post.   Check out the examples above.

We hope to hear from you soon
